The Hunger Games series

Hi, I’m Jo. Let me tell you about the series I am currently obsessed with! The Hunger Games, written by Suzanne Collins, is everything you need in a book. With incredible plot-twists, striking details, heart-breaking scenes, and a plot that will keep you craving more, this book is by far one of the best you will ever read. You won’t be able to put it down! I loved The Hunger Games because of how the story is written. The way Suzanne Collins writes- it’s as if you were standing inside the book with Katniss, the main character in the story. It’s all from Katniss Everdeen’s point of view, a 16 year old girl who struggles to stay alive. When her sister, Prim, is chosen to participate in The Hunger Games (a fight to the death with other kids!) Katniss volunteers to take her place. In this heart-pounding adventure, you will meet memorable characters, and walk alongside Katniss as she faces the deadly challenges of the Hunger Games. This book is probably meant more for teenagers (or very mature 12 year olds like me!) since it can be violent and even sad at times. I don’t want to give too much away, so try out this book and comment below to let me know what you think!

About Me

Sarah grew up surrounded by books and loved her notebooks and pens. She loved writing plays and performing them with her siblings. Her long stories won her the future author award in elementary school. As a fourth grade teacher, Sarah earned a Masters degree in writing curriculum, but decided that writing children’s books was much more fun! When she isn’t writing or reading, you can find her dancing to old records, playing board games or watching movies with her husband and three kids. She has a mini-goldendoodle named Oliver who likes to sleep on her feet while she writes. Sarah lives with her family in Victor, NY.
